One heck of a day

Well, if you were on the roads this evening and had the journey I had home – put it this way, I wish I were listening to the Late Lounge. Gonna have to think about timeshifting that for Nokia Internet Radio.

So – here you go. Usual health warning – if it goes down, you can’t find it, you haven’t got the software to play it – we’re not a live service yet! Our official launch is October 6th at 7pm – but thought you’d like to listen in to what we’re up to at the mo…

TheJazz used 128k JazzFM has gone backwards in technology on the net. Most jazz streams on the net are better sound than JazzFM! What a bad start for the station & it aint launched yet!!!!

I have had no responses from my posts so my campaign to hear Jazz Fm in better quality seems to have bitten the dust?

Richard: The AAC+ stream is working fine for me now as I type. In fact, its been fine all night for me. I don’t know if you are aware that some media players won’t work with AAC+ – VLC, Winamp and MPlayer (which I use with the KMPlayer frontend on Linux) do work (I’m sure Realplayer and Media Player Classic support AAC+ too – correct me if I am wrong), and if you do a search on your favourite search engine, there are plugins available for Windows Media Player.

Hi Gareth,
Thanks for your reply. I think the problem may be I am trying to do this on a Mac. What I am trying to do is to get the stream playing through my Pure Evoke Flow internet radio. The Flow has a companion website – thelounge.com where you can enter new streams. When I enter the http://stream.jazzfm.com:8000/listen.pls url nothing plays on the radio. When I play through the lounge in Internet Explorer 7 on Windows using Parallels on my Mac the stream plays fine through Real Player.
I just don’t get it because every other URL (with pls extension) I have entered plays fine through the radio – even the old Jazz Fm stream.
